In another piece of characteristic brilliance, Frank Furedi takes apart than nonsensical premises and and shallow assumptions that underpin the entire ‘student satisfaction’ industry.  Industry is no exggeration considering the numbers of minions and the amount of academic effort that is now compulsorily devoted to this entire shibboleth of spin. More Frank Furedi brilliance. Whoever said that university was there to make you ‘satisfied’? Exactly the opposite. It is there to push, challenge, confront, provoke and stretch you way beyond the bounds of your ‘comfort’ and ‘satisfaction’. Unless of course, it is just another degree factory where mediocrity is alchemised by its own bureaucracy into ‘world-class excellence’
